Dreams of Faenor
Sinjin stands before you in a dream. His form is mist and shadow, his words are whispers of air and fog. You feel wet in the water on your limbs as the fog condenses around you, thicker than natural. It feels almost like oil, just as thick and almost as clinging. You gasp for breathe as Sinjin's words take shape.
"Even now you doubt your quest Faenor. You've seen HIS power," he hisses.
Then the mist lifts, you catch your breathe and fall into inky blackness...
The Last Entry of Lamsa, Sage of Elder Things and Guardian of the Lost Peaks
The army settled at the base of the mountain, before me and the seekers. Spread out as far in either direction as could be seen. The Mouth and Hands of Thuulak stood at the front of the throng of men, elves, dwarves and other free creatures ready to fight for their subjugation. The masses wear the fury only lies can conjure as they begin their ascent. The seekers can not help me - nor can those loyal to me - for this is my fight, centuries in the making and it is destined to go but one way.

Adventurer's Log - 4/27/2012
The party passed through the woods and came upon the Stone Bridge, around midday. The bridge itself has not been in use in sometime. It was once used by Dwarves to transport goods, in their transactions with the Elves. It is 1/4 mile long over a 100' + gorge. It is 15' wide. The bridge is made of stone and appears stable enough to cross. Beyond the bridge is rocky terrain leading to a mountain.
At regular intervals the stone work on the bridge changes, as if altered after construction. There are numerous features such as statues and vines.
The party decides to cross the bridge. Elros leads the way, looking for traps and notices a pressure plate which he disables. Suddenly an orb of white light appears. The party is aware that the orb is some type of magical effect, planar in nature.
Bravely, Jel-Vered passes through the orb and immediately vanishes. He reappears in what appears to be another plane, on a similar looking bridge. Everything is a red haze, and a feeling of grief and darkness persists. There are ghost like figures in the darkness. Jel-Vered passes back through the orb and returns to his original location on the bridge, however the ghosts follow.
The party continues over the bridge and must fight its way through several traps, monsters and undead from the unknown plane. The orb is used several times by party members to transport back and forth. One trap consists of a section of bridge covered with vines. The vines grab party members and move them towards the edge of the bridge, threatening to push them off. There is, however, a pedestal further up the bridge with a round stone button. Finwe cast magic missile, effectively pressing the button and disabling the vine trap. In the final encounter of the adventuring day the party comes to a section of the bridge and must face a construct, ghosts, spectres, devils and a beholder! The party succeeds, but is very tired and is forced to pitch camp right there on the bridge.

Out of game note - the adventurers were awarded the balance of the XP needed to achieve Level 4.

Continued from Sermon 16
"It was upon life Thuulak preyed, but not just for destruction, for life without meaning held no power for the dark beast. It was the control of life Thuulak sought to obtain for by directing and influencing everything in reality it would cease to be and instead would become his."
